Employment Preparation and Training
BoysTown's employment preparation and training services assist disadvantaged young people to effect positive, sustainable change in their lives.
Many young people face significant personal and social barriers to entering the workforce. Issues such as limited literacy and numeracy skills, mental health concerns, drug and alcohol use, abuse, financial problems, domestic violence and homelessness can have a significant impact on the life of some young people. BoysTown works with each young person to help them identify problems affecting their lives and provides the support needed to find ways to overcome these issues.
The many employment preparation and training programs offered by BoysTown combine experiential learning and life skills, supported by individual case planning by youth workers with the objective of achieving long-term and sustainable employment and personal development outcomes.
BoysTown is a Registered Training Organisation in Queensland and South Australia.
