The first BoysTown Art Union began on May 20, 1961 with a car as first prize.

The first BoysTown Art Union began on May 20, 1961 with a car as first prize to raise funds for the newly opened residential care facility for boys at Beaudesert. Who could have foreseen that its appeal would last in excess of 45 years, or that it would become the major fundraiser for BoysTown's expanding network of services Australia wide, to help the disadvantaged in society make a fresh start and ultimately take control of their own future?

Long term supporters of the BoysTown Lottery have witnessed the development of prize offerings, starting with the humble family car and culminating with the successful Luxury House Lottery, the flagship of BoysTown Lotteries and the addition of the Prestige Car Lottery.

BoysTown offered its first house Lottery in 1984. A $5 ticket gave the lucky winner the choice of a luxurious Gold Coast home or a beach front apartment, with a total prize value of $217,690. It now conducts 10 Luxury House (Lifestyle) Lotteries per annum offering $1M 1st prize properties in prime locations on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Sydney and Melbourne together with 5 Prestige Car Lotteries offering top brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar and Alfa as 1st prize.

Thanks to the commitment of our Lottery ticket buyers, BoysTown Lotteries continues to make a significant contribution to the work of BoysTown, funding new and innovative ways to offer young people a fresh start in life.
