Becoming a Mentee
Mentoring is open to any young person; it can occur during school time or may be part of a vocational education program, or accessed by young people who are already in work.
Young people may become a mentee through a teacher, a counsellor or a support worker. They or their parents may also approach M1 directly to discuss mentoring.
Potential mentees are asked to complete mentor matching forms and, when under the age of 18, must have the approval of a parent or guardian to access the program.
Once a match is made the young person and their mentor start their mentoring.
For new applications the following two forms must be completed and parental permission may be required.
